Parthasarathy Temple

One of the most important Sri Krishna temples in Kerala, dedicated to Krishna as Arjuna's charioteer at Kurukshetra. Located on the banks of the Pampa, it features in ancient Vaishnavaite hymns and is one of the 108 Divya Desam temples of South India. Legend credits Arjuna himself with installing the original idol — with four other Pandava temples within a 40 km radius.

Seasonal

Vallam Kali — Snake Boat Race

The oldest river carnival in Kerala, held on the Pampa during Onam. Traditional snake boats called Palliyodams move rhythmically to Vallappattu songs as religious offerings. Each vessel is crewed by over a hundred oarsmen and decorated with golden laces, flags, and ornamental umbrellas — a spectacle unlike anything else in India.
